Project Coordinator (start June 2024)

  

We are seeking a project coordinator to help our team manage the weekly project activities. This is a hybrid role, with some remote and some in-person work in our office in South Austin.  In addition, we will be hosting in-person activities throughout the city of Austin that will require attendance during some weeks and on some weekends.

 

This role is focused on organizational tasks in preparing ongoing volunteer activities as well as leading volunteer events.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Activity preparation including online signups, materials, creating examples and discussion guides, and volunteer communication 
  • Some marketing including social media and weekly email newsletter
  • Assist with creating relationships with nonprofits and finding/scheduling at-home and in-person volunteer activities
  • Regular weekly pick up and delivery of materials to our nonprofit partners throughout Austin and our North Austin Allies location in Cedar Park
  • Leading in-person volunteer events in the Austin area, including some weekends

Qualifications:

  • Effective organizational skills 
  • Some technical skills, or a willingness to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Familiarity with common social media platforms
  • Experience with graphic design of marketing and print materials is a plus
  • Strong interest in family volunteering and nonprofit organizations

Requirements

  • 16-20 hrs/week Monday-Friday, plus 2-3 hours one to two weekends a month (leading volunteer events)
  • Flexible hours between 9am-5pm, combination of remote and in-person 
  • Reliable transportation

Location: Southwest Austin

 

Pay: $13/hour
